Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bouquet {A "How-to" by The CEO}
Posted by ChrissyMacCEO in The CEO's Notes, tags: Gift ideas, teacher giftsI am fascinated with Elible Arrangements, and have thought about attempting to make my own for a while now. With Valentines Day around the corner, I thought now was a great time to see if I could pull it off!
I decided to make a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bouquet. Not only was it extremely simple and a whole lotta fun to make, but giving handmade gifts is extremely thoughtful.
Here is a list of what you will need to make this beautiful treat:
Small Bunch of Babies Breath florals

Step 1: Rinse the strawberries {leave the green leaves on for decoration} and pat them completely dry. Cover a dish with wax paper. Fill a small, microwave safe bowl with chocolate, and microwave it on high in 30 second intervals. After each 30 seconds, remove it and stir. The chocolate is ready when it is completely smooth and warm, not hot.
Step 2: Dip each strawberry into the chocolate, covering it about 3/4 of the way. Place on wax paper-lined plate. When you are finished dipping each strawberry, place the dish into your fridge until hardened {about 15 minutes}.
Step 3: Cut the Styrofoam block so that it will fit securely into your vase or holder.
Step 4: Take each strawberry and push them onto wooden sticks. Beginning in the center, place each stick into the Styrofoam in a spiral fashion until you have a full arrangement.
Here is what your finished arrangement will look like:

These Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bouquets make great gifts for that special someone. Smaller versions, like the one above on the left, are also great to give to that neighbor who always lends a helping hand, or to your child’s school teacher.
What are your plans for Valentines Day? I hope it’s a special one!
