I miss, I love, I look forward to…

by The Shore Mom on July 12, 2010

This post was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers, Loulou from Loulou’s Views.  After reading her post, I was inspired to do the same….so here goes:

Things I miss…

~ A small purse.  Large enough to hold only the essentials–lip gloss, my wallet, my keys and my phone.  Not fruit snacks, bubble gum, Epipens, changes of undies {for them, not me!}, crayons and notepads.

~ Waking up on my own at 10am feeling rested.

~ Lack of responsibility.  The life of a CEO is overwhelming and hectic.  I am so glad  I am where I am in life and I have no regrets, but I can’t help but miss the days of having nothing at all to do.

Things I currently love…

~ How much my kids love each other {these days!}  Sure, they make each other cry at least once a day, but they love each other.  Especially my son.  He is so sensitive to his little sister and it just melts my heart.  And when she is feeling sad, or hurt, she cries out for her “Buckaroo!”  {It’s sad to think that one day when they have families of their own, they may not enjoy one another…I really hope their closeness never changes!}

~ Jeremiah Weed Sweet Tea–my summer cocktail of choice!  I prefer to mix it with lemon iced tea mix–delish!

~ How DaddyMac smells after a day working at the beach…

~ My suntan…

~ Benefit’s Erase Paste

Things I am looking forward to…

~ Seeing John Mayer in concert with my girlfriends in a few weeks…

~ Finding time to catch up on my DVR’d Tori & Dean episodes…

~ Laying out on my new deck while the kids splash happily in our pool…

~ Planning a weekend getaway with DaddyMac this Fall…

How about you?  What are some things that you miss, love, and are looking forward to?

I love this idea for a post too! I might try this later in the week after 3 more doubles! How awesome that your kids are getting along and loving each other so much – mine are really fighting lately.

I have four kids and a husband who easily adds the workload of a set of two-year old twins; sooo…

I miss…a clean house.

I love…a clean house.

I look forward to…the day another woman walks into my house and calls herself “maid”.

I LOVE Tori & Dean! I’ve watched it from the very beginning and I have all her books! I don’t care what anyone says…she’s down to earth and she’s funny. She knows how to laugh at her self. And she’s a great mom.
