I am… {Sunday Edition}

by The Shore Mom on November 13, 2011

I am starting something new {this is Week #3 actually!}.

Every Sunday, I’m going to free-write 5 positive things that “I am” feeling/thinking/doing/wishing. I am totally guilty of getting caught up in life’s stressors, so I want to take the time to start my week off reflecting on the positive things that I have going for me.

**********

I am…going to get my “swell on” this week.  I’ve been doing so good keeping up with my cardio but have been neglecting weight-training entirely.  I happen to totally love the feeling of sore muscles, and if I could get one full-body weight-training workout in each week, I’d be one happy girl.  I really have no excuse because, starting this week, DaddyMac goes back to coaching swimming at night which leaves me with loads of free time on my hands.  I have a basement full of free weights, a punching bag, and a full collection of P90X dvds.  And, you know, summer is only 7 months away ;)

I am…going to add a burlesque routine into my Zumba program.  I used to teach a cardio strip-tease type class and really had a blast with it.  After watching Luke Byran’s performance at the CMA’s last week, it got me all sorts of ralled up!  I know I have to start off easy with my Zumba crowd–I don’t want to scare them with major hair-whipping–but I’d love to get them fired up a bit and send them home to their hubbies!  Meow!

I am…madly in love with Chocolate Glazed Donuts coffee for my Keurig!  It’s sooo good, and is totally taking the place of Pumpkin Spice in my book.

I am…thinking about taking a day trip into NYC soon.  Alone.  There was something so exciting about being alone in the city when I went to the SheStreams conference in September, and I am looking for that thrill once again.  I’d like to browse some boutiques, people watch, maybe meet up with a few bloggy friends from the city.  Not sure.  But a day trip alone does wonders for the mind and soul.

I am…really far behind on cleaning the basement playroom.  I think I am going to make that my project of the week.  There is stuff EVERYWHERE down there, and I am going to blame my laundry neglect on the fact that I get chest pains walking past that playrooms tornado of a mess.  So, if people want clean undies this week, I think I have to devote some times to that mess.  But if it gives me a chance to use my label-maker, it’s a good thing.

How about you?  What are YOU this week?
